Mira for Tonic Design

One system for every piece, project and showroom.

Tonic's pieces are designed in-house, customised for each client and made by hand by artisans across South Africa. Mira is built for exactly that: the fabric a client picks becomes a price, a production plan, a job card for the right artisan and a slot on the delivery calendar, with the margin tracked from quote to invoice.

What we heard

Simulators

Price any version of any piece in seconds

On tonicdesign.co.za the Judd Sofa is listed at a base price excluding fabric. In Mira, the client's fabric, finish and dimensions are priced straight from the bill of materials, by the same engine that prices your quotes, orders and online store.

  • Pricing Simulator: configure a piece against any price list, then copy a link, email it to the client or turn it into a quote.
  • Costing Simulator: see the cost of every component and material, and the GP, before you commit.
  • Material Simulator: every fabric from every fabric house falls into a pricing tier, so a new fabric is priced the moment you add its cost.

Trade pricing

Interior designers get their own price lists

Give trade clients their own prices without a spreadsheet on the side. Put designers in a customer group with a trade price list, discount and terms, or give a single studio a list of its own.

  • Price lists by customer, customer group or showroom, with start and end dates.
  • Made-to-order pieces get a full price matrix per list, by fabric and finish, with Excel import and export.
  • Choose whether trade discounts apply to the fabric portion of a price.
  • Every quote shows which price list it was priced from.

Projects

Every interiors programme in one place

From a residence in Bantry Bay to a lounge at O.R. Tambo, a project in Mira holds its quotes, orders, invoices and service cases, with the budget, the deadline and the margin in view the whole way.

  • A health score from Excellent to Critical, based on whether every item will make the deadline and on the project's GP.
  • Budget against spend, with income, expenses and remedial costs rolled into project profit.
  • Margin at every stage: projected at quote, planned at production and final at invoice.
  • A shared timeline with notes, photos and @mentions, and a project statement you can send as a PDF.

Production planner

Built for pieces made by outside artisans

Tonic doesn't run a factory floor, and Mira doesn't assume you do. Each part of a piece can go to a different maker: the marble top of a Cigarette Coffee Table to the stonemason, the brass base to the smith. Mira raises the purchase orders, delivers the materials to the right workshop and sends each maker its own job card.

  • Flexible bills of materials: fixed materials, client choices like fabric and timber, client-supplied fabric (COM/COL) and custom dimensions.
  • Choose where every line comes from: buy it, take it from stock at any location, make it in-house or outsource it.
  • Auto plan pulls in every open order and builds the plan for you.
  • Manufacturing drawings and production notes print on each artisan's job card, and client drawings print on the client's copy.

Stock and locations

Every showroom's stock in one view

See what's in Parktown North, Kloof Street and every store room while you quote. When Cape Town needs a piece from Johannesburg, request it with an internal order and follow it through transfer and receipt.

  • Two levels of stock: materials like fabric and timber, and finished pieces, each by location and by fabric combination.
  • Stock takes for both, from a count sheet or a spreadsheet import, posted as adjustments.
  • Outsourced stock: what's gone out to each artisan and what's come back, order by order.
  • Committed stock shows what's already promised to open orders.

Delivery bookings

Deliveries, collections and remedial work on one calendar

Book every delivery into a slot and assign your own driver or a transporter. When a piece dropped at a project site needs to come back to be fixed, the collection goes on the same calendar and its cost lands on the project.

  • A pick list of everything ready to go, including part-deliveries.
  • Collections for repairs, replacements and returns, raised from service cases.
  • Printed run sheets per driver, with each delivery marked delivered or sent back to be rebooked.
  • Your own working hours and blackout days.

Documents

Paperwork that looks like Tonic

Design your own quotes, invoices, purchase orders and job cards in Mira's document designer. Drag in your logo, line items, totals and terms, preview the exact PDF and choose which version is live.

  • Templates for quotes, sales orders, invoices, credit notes, purchase orders and job cards.
  • Retail or wholesale format: prices including VAT, or excluding it with the tax breakdown.
  • Your choice of fonts and page backgrounds.
  • Keep several versions and switch the live one in a click.

Shopify and Xero

Connected to the tools you already use

Mira links your Shopify products, down to every fabric and finish, to the same pricing engine as your quotes, so the online price and the showroom price always match.

  • Import your Shopify catalogue and customers to get started.
  • Push price changes to Shopify from Mira.
  • Mira 360° material previews on your product pages.
  • Xero: connection scoped as part of your rollout.
